Beautiful skin isn’t as complicated as you think. There are simple ways to nourish and enhance your skin using natural skincare remedies. But there is one crucial rule: say goodbye to toxins and chemicals. The truth is, you won’t find healthy skin in off-the-counter beauty bottles. The promises are empty – when a product is filled with toxins, how can you expect it to improve your skin? We’ve written about the typical ingredients you find in conventional beauty care products before.

Don’t forget to read our article on the consequences of chemicals and toxins on your skin.

You may ask: what then can we do to take care of our skin? And for you, we’ve got homemade and straightforward natural skincare remedies.

Natural Skin Care Remedies

What do we mean when we say natural? We suggest using ingredients that don’t contain toxins. We also mean homemade and straightforward recipes that cost next to nothing but still do magic for your skin. The best part is that you’ll find some of these ‘ingredients’ on your kitchen counter.

Natural Facial Masks

You only need one ingredient for this one: Bentonite Clay. Mix one teaspoon of the powder with two teaspoons of water, mix and rub on your face.

Keep it on your skin for about 30 minutes and wash with water. You’ll immediately notice the results.

We have another natural and straightforward facial mask recipe: mix in one tablespoon of baking soda, one teaspoon of fresh lemon juice and a couple of drops of tea tree essential oil. Then leave on the skin for a few minutes and wash your face. You’ll notice a tingly sensation with this one. If you have super sensitive skin, try it on for a couple of minutes first to see that you don’t react.

If you’re looking for a face-wash recipe, then you may want to try making a simple sugar scrub. Mix in two tablespoons of sugar with one tablespoon of sweet almond oil – you can also add a few drops of essential oil to naturally scent it. Rose, lavender and tea tree are great for the skin.

Getting Rid of Dark Circles

Nobody likes dark circles around their eyes. Makeup is only a temporary solution. But we’ve got a few tips that will help you combat those dark circles. You can try any of these for 12 days to see results. Choose one of the following: sliced cucumber, tea bags, cotton pads soaked in rosewater – and place them on your closed lids for 20 minutes. One other way to help reduce dark circles is by using almond oil as a moisturizer around the eye area.

Moisturizing the Natural Way

Don’t ever underestimate the benefits of moisturizing your skin. It’s essential to keep your skin soft and supple. But, similar to the rest of your skincare routine, you must keep this part natural as well. Raw organic coconut oil can do wonders. And during the summer, don’t forget to use Aloe Vera gel – it’s the best when it comes to sun-damaged skin.

Keep in mind that all the products we recommend are natural, organic and eco-friendly.
