BPA and Phthalates are plasticizers found in many everyday plastic items, including children’s toys. Although studies are still being conducted on the exact harmful effects of plasticizers on human beings, animal studies have shown potential impacts of plasticizers on the brain, behaviour, and prostate glands in fetuses, infants, and young children. Although we don’t have all the information yet, it is best to steer clear of items that contain plasticizers when possible.
How are Green Toys made?

It is one of the safest, cleanest plastics around. Recycled milk jugs are their primary ingredient, and to date, they have recycled 42,576,800 Milk Jugs. Waste management collects all the plastic, cleans, shreds into flakes, reprocesses into raw materials, and mixes with food-safe, mineral-based colouring. Voila! A fantastic toy is made!
All their products are packaged in 100% recyclable cardboard, and no extra’s like blister packs, twister ties or cellophane are added to the packaging. They are so good that they have received the prestigious Greener Packaging Award, the United States’ only independent sustainable packaging award!
