We at LivingLifeNaturalBlog.com believe in an environmentally friendly planet. We are committed to maintaining a healthy and sustainable lifestyle by promoting naturally organic and green products. However, to fully grasp the significance of our goal and vision, it is first essential to understand the meaning behind these three powerful words. What does it mean when a product is all ‘natural’? How can you contribute to the planet’s health by buying organic products when you don’t know what ‘organic’ means? What does it mean to ‘go green?
We have the answers to all of your natural organic and green questions.
To embark on this journey with us, we want you to understand why we believe in adopting the right mentality and lifestyle choices that benefit our personal, social and environmental health.
Natural
Natural means “of, existing in, or produced by nature.” Nature is derived from the Latin word natura, which means “essential qualities” and “innate disposition.” It is the Latin translation of the Greek word physis, related to “intrinsic characteristics that plants, animals and other world features develop on their accord.”
Language lesson aside, when we speak of natural products, we refer to products produced from natural sources and living organisms found in nature. The chemical compounds in these products include no added artificial ingredients, which can contain chemicals including but not limited to preservative sprays, sweeteners and coloured dyes.
In an article by the Global Healing Centre, it was stated that government regulations allow any ingredient to be used when manufacturing products, from mascara and face cream to shampoos and body wash. It is essential to note because skin and hair products are used daily, and harmful chemicals such as mercury are “easily absorbed by the skin, yet the body has no way of ridding itself of” it. This can lead to potential organ damage in the body.

Organic
Organic is defined as a substance of animal or vegetable origin and related to or derived from living matter. References to organic products simply mean that products do not contain artificial chemicals, fertilizers, or pesticides. Products that feature all organic ingredients are safer and healthier to use and are free from harmful chemicals.
It is said that the average adult is exposed to 168 hazardous chemicals each day, and the use of products that contain these toxins can affect not only the immune systems but also the reproductive and endocrine ones. Yet, the Food and Drug Administration the FDA in the United States has only restricted 9 ingredients in the past 67 years, and many chemical ingredients used in cosmetic and personal care products have never been tested.
One of the most essential advantages of using organic products is that the ingredients do not disrupt your body’s natural state.
Green
The word green is derived from the Middle English and Anglo-Saxon words grene, which means “grass” and “grow.” It is associated with nature and environmental protection, and adjectives such as young, fresh, and lively are also linked to it.
Green products are not harmful to the environment. An article that discusses the benefits of using green products outlines improved health and safety and environmental protection. For example, toxic chemicals can contribute to air pollution and the use of green products, many of which are packaged using biodegradable material, is less damaging to the environment’s health.
