Eating fruits and vegetables give a lot of benefits to the heart. One study found that it reduces the risk of getting heart disease by about 41 percent. In retrospect, it was discovered that when a diet is rich in meats and other processed foods, there was a 72 percent increase in the chance that the individual will have heart disease. These results confirm that of many other studies which show that fruits and vegetables are better than taking fatty and salty foods. But why is this so?
